Adager Installation (or updating)
Installing (or updating) Adager involves the transfer of software from some medium (such as a tape or a downloaded Internet file) to your HP e3000. Let's use a DDS tape as an example.
Log on as the system manager (you must know the passwords):hello Manager.Sys
Mount your Adager tape on an appropriate device. You will see a message like this on the system console:13:12/9/Vol (unlabeled) mounted on LDEV# 7
Note the specific device (which happens to be "7" in this example) and create this file equation::file FW; dev=7
Restore the Adager installation program:restore *FW; AdagerFW; show
Remember toREPLY
to the console request if your tape device is not configured with auto-reply. Verify thatAdagerFW
restored all right. Set the Adager tape on-line again.
Run the Adager installation program:run AdagerFW
This process ensures that the Rego account is properly built and then transfers the Adager software from the tape to your HP e3000. Remember toREPLY
to the console request if your tape device is not configured with auto-reply.
Wait for the Adager installation program to finishYou are now ready to use Adager on your IMAGE/SQL (and TurboIMAGE) databases (see "Using Adager" on page 1 ).
Adager uses late-binding technologies to adapt itself dynamically to the specific kind of hardware (RISC or CISC) that you have, as well as to your specific kind of database system (IMAGE/3000, TurboIMAGE, IMAGE/SQL).
Please abide by the Adager Licensing AgreementsPlease note that, by installing Adager, you agree to abide by the Adager Licensing Agreements in groupLicense.Rego
